I just had a baby and was trying my hardest to lose the weight.  After 7 months of doing it alone I finally realized I needed some professional help.  I did a lot of research and tried one other trainer before finding Rob.  After the first session with Rob I was hooked.  He truly helped me get back into my original pre-baby form just in time for the summer. 

He is an excellent motivator and always on time and I truly look forward to our sessions  every week.  He has not only helped me lose the weight but I am much stronger and far more knowledgeable of the gym and the machines because of his instructions.  This has helped me to have much more productive workouts on the days he is not training me. He has also explained to me what foods I should be eating and avoiding as well. 

The sessions are always challenging and Rob is a complete professional.  I would highly recommend anyone looking for a personal trainer to give Rob one shot and they will be as hooked as I am!

As a performer and professional dancer I have always had an athletic build, but struggled not only with the few extra pounds that always seemed to come back even if I did‘extreme-diet’ them off, but also with the way I felt about my body. After my first meeting with Rob, I knew things were about to change. His attention to individuality and sensitivity for attaining results through self-change is indescribable.
His energy was almost overwhelming at first, thinking to myself, “is he just that excited because he wants me to get pumped up about working out in a new way, or his he just this passionate about what he does?” Turns out it was both. He was able to show me for once in my life that I was an athlete, and should be training as one. Turns out everything I thought would make me bigger only made me smaller, tighter, and toned. My world of working out was flipped upside down. My hour and half work outs 3-4 times a week turned into 30-45 minute work outs 5 times a week, and my cardio changed from treadmill and elliptical boringness to dead lifts, snatches, and burpees galore. I was hooked

His knowledge for sport-specific training was unreal. As a dancer and aerialist I use my body for work. The faster I can turn, the higher I can jump, the longer I can balance, the quicker I can climb up the silk fabric, the more power and strength I had to barrel turn my entire body through the air, the more efficient I was going to be in my profession. I never thought of this when I worked out previously, but maybe that’s because I was so obsessed with cardio and crunches and “not bulking up.” Rob introduced me to specific dance related exercises that he had created. Understanding and learning about the range of motion each of my muscles goes through was something I had never dissected. But when you’ve been standing at the ballet barre since you were 5, it only makes sense that you don’t think about it. Rob took the time to find new ways specific to my body that would enhance my performance levels.
About 6 weeks into our training, I left to do a performing job. Now was the true test. I had to do it on my own without Rob there every workout to encourage me. Fortunately, it felt like he was still there. He constantly checked in with me, and I wanted to check in with him too, because I was achieving my goals.
I will never forget a pivotal moment in the gym without Rob. I was doing some box jumps and a barbell complex, and a guy approached me in the gym and asked, “what are you training for?” And that’s when I replied, “Just my life.” And it’s true. Rob has changed my life, how I look, and how I look at myself. He is more motivating, enthusiastic, and loving than he will ever know. Yeah, Rob’s pretty tough too, but it’s the whole package that makes him such a great trainer.

I was in my 50’s, overweight, out of shape and concerned about my health. I really don’t like to work out and I told Rob at our first session that if he was mean and too hard on me I would fire him. But I immediately felt comfortable with Rob and knew that I had nothing to be concerned about. He’s not easy, but he has a demeanor that makes me want to come back to the gym.

Since training with Rob I have lost over 60 pounds, and my cholesterol, blood sugar and liver levels have made remarkable improvements. I am free of diabetes, no longer take medication, and my strength and overall fitness has significantly increased. Rob offers support and guidance with my diet and has helped me to find healthy foods that I enjoy eating and will continue my weight loss. Most of all Rob is a great person I look forward to seeing. I had lost over 300 pounds with gastric bypass surgery. 9 years later I gained 70 back and I knew it was time to up my game and it was time to workout.
